Venezuelan artist Sattva Giacosa, was born in Las Tapias-Mérida and currently lives in Vienna. She is a visual artist and a photographer, who moves between documentary photography and  conceptual art.
Sattva Giacosa‘s work is inspired by her own experiences and influenced by the interactions she has had during her life as an immigrant in Europe.

Sattva intensively deals with photography and storytelling, focusing on the inadequacies and incalculable effects of analogue techniques, not only on the image producing process but also working with materials directly, stepping out of the hyperrealism of the photographic era in which we live, using photography as a means of communication and a way to revisualize stories.
